HELP SHAPE THE NEW DESIGN MUSEUM
We are looking for students on FE level design courses to tell us what they think is good or bad about the current Design Museum in Shad Thames, and how we can make the new Design Museum, scheduled to open in 2014, perfect for student visitors.
We are particularly interested in talking to students with dyslexia. Currently we offer no specialist provisions to support design students with dyslexia and dyspraxia, so we would like to find out how we can create a warmer welcome for them. We will hosting an event at the new home of the Design Museum, the former Commonwealth Institute on Kensington High Street to discuss this.
FE Design Students
Saturday 29 October 2011, 2 - 4pm
The event begin with a private tour of the former Commonwealth Institute, followed by a informal discussion (with refreshments) about how to make the new Design Museum a great place for students.
This is a great opportunity to get an insight into and also influence a live and exciting architectural and cultural project for London. All participants will receive high street shopping vouchers and complimentary ticket to the Design Museum in Shad Thames as a thank you for their time.
Places are very limited so if interested please book your place now!
If you would like to participate or need more information please email: sara@designmuseum.org with your name, contact number, course, year and college / university.
